Vegan Wedding Cakes
Probably the easiest way to get a vegan cake is to find a baker that
has had experience in creating the perfect Vegan wedding cake. The
best place to start looking is a local organic / health food shop
that carries cakes. Often they carry vegan cakes as an alternative
product line which are outsourced. Find out the company's name who
makes the cake and see whether they make wedding cakes that will fit
your needs.
As it is a very busy day, one does not really need to be messing
around with making your own cake. However, if you feel the desire to
make your own cake then

For about 120 people we recommend a cake that consists of 3
tiers. As an example the top tier could be 6", middle 10", and
the bottom 14" in diameter.
Each tier could be 4" high and the cakeboard might be 1" high.
If you are having an outdoor summer wedding you will need to
consider the icing and potential melting during the hot day. As
Vegan icings depending on their constitution, will tend to melt
quicker it is best to arrange to have the cake properly refrigerated
until it is ready to be put out on display.
This is an example of a cake that
Toute Sweet creates in a vegan version. Above all plan ahead for
the cake if you are ordering it as it may take the baker a few weeks
to prepare and order all the ingredients.
